Manchester Animation Festival

The Manchester Animation Festival team needed a modern, responsive website to promote their annual event, showcase film programmes and integrate with their Eventive ticketing system. I developed a bespoke WordPress theme with flexible content blocks, fast page loading, and automatic syncing with both Eventive and Airtable. The website is now the online home to the UK’s largest animation event, handling thousands of visitors during festival week.
FSTVS
Project type: Web design and WordPress build, job board, news and podcast aggregate site
Client: FSTVS (also known as festivus)

FSTVS is an online hub for the animation industry built around a bespoke job board that connects studios with crew members. I was brought in to design and develop the website and core system: a clean, scalable platform with a subscription model that allows studios to post roles and freelancers to manage profiles and job alerts. The platform was built for scalability and has since expanded to include news, events, podcasts, and other resources.

Fircroft Associates is an accountancy firm offering tailored financial and business advise. I was commissioned to design and build a modern WordPress website that presents their services clearly and professionally while being easy for the team to update. The site incorporates Xero partner integration, alongside a clean, responsive layout with fast-loading pages and straightforward navigation.

Reel Solutions curates film education projects, festivals, and cultural events across the UK. They needed a modern website that could unify these strands under one clear structure. I designed and developed a flexible WordPress theme with modular content areas for courses, screenings, and educational resources. The redesigned website’s focus on clarity and accessibility helps the target audience find and book events in their region.
Skwigly Online Animation Magazine

Skwigly is one of the UK’s longest-running online animation magazines. Over a 10+ year partnership, I have rebuilt the site twice, continuously maintaining and expanding it with new features to meet the needs of its growing readership. My work includes ongoing WordPress development, performance optimisation, and bespoke functionality; from custom layouts to affiliate marketing integrations.

Animation-Festivals.com is a global directory of animation events. I redesigned and rebuilt the site to improve navigation, search and mobile performance. The new version features an improved submission process for festival organisers, automatic sorting by region and date, and clear SEO-structured code to improve search engine visibility. I’ve also developed additional features including a paid downloadable festival list, an affiliate bookshop, and dynamic data modules showing the most popular and free/paid events.
